Dieting with Cheat Days

We all know that changing what you eat is difficult but necessary in losing weight. Most people deny themselves what they crave while on a diet until their will power can no longer take it and they binge.

Well cheat days are suppose to help balance your healthy eating with your dieting.

How to Cheat

Once a week, you can go a little crazy with your "diet". For example, each Saturday, you can have that slice of pizza you've been craving. Eat it slow and enjoy each bite and remember to not go too crazy. Everything in Moderation.

How Does This Work?

Our bodies love balance. The longer you are at a certain weight, the more difficult it is to gain or lose weight. This theory is why crash diets don't work. You drop a ton of weight quick by denying yourself until you can't take it any longer. You go back to your old diet, and pile the pounds back on because that's where the body is confortable (you might even gain more weight than before the diet because it's preparing for another "crash diet" or "starvation mode").

"Diet" is a lifestyle, not a 4 week plan to lose weight. The only one that is going to be successful is one that you can stay committed to. That's why you need to allow yourself the things you crave. Just allow them in moderation on a designated "cheat day." You can also think of them as "reward days" for being so good on your diet all week long.

Over time, your body will lose those cravings and the food you eat on a regular basis will make you quite happy.
