What is a Juice Fast? How Do I Go on A Juice Fast?

A juice fast consists of drinking fruit and/or vegetable juice with no solid food for a certain period of time. The juice needs to be fresh squeezed as that is the only way to get all the vitamins and no added artificial ingredients.

You'll need a juicer to make your meals and be sure to scoop out all the pulp. You don't want to eat the pulp as that will get your stomach acids flowing and make you feel more hungry.

Also try to avoid chewing gum during fasting as the act of chewing can also stir up the stomach acids and make you more hungry.

Juice fasting can help you lose weight, however be careful when you return to eating food. Fasts tend to slow down our metabolism so when you begin eating again, the food is more likely to be stored as fat. Try to come off your juice fast slowly and eat healthy foods for as long after as you can.
