Triathlons Can Really Test Your Fitness

Triathlons consist of swimming, biking, and running
(and they are usually carried out in that order).

Triathlons are a really good way of keeping yourself in shape as they give you a goal to prepare for and a deadline.

Triathlons can be various distances to accommodate most fitness levels, however the four most common distances are:

  • Sprint distance: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run

  • Olympic distance: 1.5km swim, 40km ride, 10km run

  • Half Ironman distance: 1.9km swim, 90km ride, 21.1km run

  • Triathlon distance: 3.8km swim, 180km ride, 42.2km run
